The Careers and Employability Service is a large, sector leading professional service which is committed to advancing the graduate prospects of our students and graduates. Based in locations across all three UK campuses, we work as one service to provide collaboratively conceived, locally managed and collectively delivered services to students from all our Schools and Faculties.

Applications are invited for the above post based within the Careers and Employability Service in the Portland Building on University Park campus.

JobZone sits within the Careers and Employability Service and is made up of two parts; Unitemps and TempZone. Unitemps is a franchise managed by the University of Nottingham’s Careers and Employability Service which provides temporary staff to all departments across the University as well as to external clients in the local region, using students, graduates and local talent as a candidate pool. A key priority of the business is to help students become more employable by providing them with a wide range of temporary assignments while studying. TempZone sources temporary and agency staff for all departments of the University – filling positions with the help of an external Master Vendor and by exception other recruitment agencies.

Working closely with the team of Recruitment Administrators, the Recruitment Sales Executive and the Internal Recruitment Team Leader, the JobZone Receptionist will be responsible for acting as the first point of contact for students and community members who have obtained work or who are seeking work and for hiring managers looking to promote their vacancies. This is a fast-paced and busy role with a core aim of providing effective signposting for students to Careers and Employability activity. The role requires exceptional attention to detail and customer service skills to ensure that candidates and clients are fully supported through the process.

This is a permanent, full time position.
