Reporting to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Industry Engagement), and working closely with the Vice-Chancellor, the PVC Industry Engagement will lead the development and implementation of a whole of university approach to industry engagement. Key objectives will include increasing the flow of industry research funds, identifying strategic industry partners to collocate within the University's Research and Innovation precinct, as well as supporting the incorporation of innovation and entrepreneurship into Latrobe’s curriculum and teaching delivery.

You will work closely with senior executives to identify and cultivate key strategic research partnerships and develop long term relationships. The position will promote excellence in culture and practice in research translation and commercialization programs and in the development of industry collaboration activities including industry placements.

You will possess extensive experience in developing and implementing strategic priorities focused on industry engagement and research translation/commercialization. Of critical importance will be an understanding of universities/research organizations, and demonstrated capability to identify and attract university partners capable of contributing to the University’s core goals of research excellence. Postgraduate qualifications with extensive leadership and stakeholder engagement experience is essential.
