UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM MANAGERElectrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS), to manage a wide range of existing initiatives, including departmental events, student organizations, exchange programs, orientation sessions, etc.  Will evaluate, develop strategy for, and improve initiatives as appropriate; evaluate existing office processes to determine opportunities for automation and manage technical staff to execute those projects; and work closely with undergraduate administrators and the undergraduate officer to improve EECS’s academic advising.  Will also manage the day-to-day operations of the office, assisting the undergraduate administrators as needed.  This may include advising and counseling students, helping with course registration and degree clearance, aiding in student visa issues, etc. 

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) in a related field; at least five years of counseling or academic advising experience; experience in higher education; excellent organizational, problem solving, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, function both independently and as part of a team, and work effectively with others at all levels and to; initiative; flexibility; attention to detail; and experience interacting with complex databases, word processing software, and content-management systems.
