Two postdoctoral positions are available in the group of Mark Dodding in the School of Biochemistry at the University of Bristol aiming to dissect the fundamental molecular mechanisms that underlie the function of cytoskeletal motor proteins and to use this information to devise new strategies to chemically manipulate their activities in pathological situations.

In this exciting multi-disciplinary project, you will work at the interface of cell biology, structural biology and chemistry. We are seeking candidates with an exceptional track record in one or more of these areas who have a demonstrable willingness to learn and engage with the others.

A PhD (awarded or imminent) in a relevant field is essential with experience in research in a molecular cell biology/biochemistry lab environment. The funds for these positions are available for 3 years in the first instance.

For informal enquires, please contact Mark Dodding, or (0117) 33 11675.

We appreciate and value difference, seeking to attract, develop and retain a diverse mix of talented people that will contribute to the overall success of Bristol and help maintain our position as one of the world’s leading universities.
