Assistant or Associate Professor in Special Needs Education (Early Childhood and Special Needs Education Academic Group)

The Early Childhood and Special Needs Education Academic Group (ECSE AG) at the National Institute of Education is the main teacher education department in Singapore for teacher and personnel preparation in early childhood and special needs education (including students with high abilities). ECSE AG offers pre-service, in-service and higher degree programmes in special needs education, early childhood and high abilities (gifted education). In addition, ECSE AG staff members are strongly encouraged to be involved in high quality research that have a significant impact within the local Singaporean context and contribute to new knowledge internationally.
The ECSE AG invites applicants with a PhD or EdD in the area of special needs education (specifically, in the areas of mild to moderate disabilities and autism) to apply for a tenure-track faculty position in the ECSE AG.
Applicants should have an established track record in research as well as tertiary teaching experience. The appointment will be made at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.
The successful applicant will be expected to teach at the pre-service, in-service and/or postgraduate levels, supervise student teachers in teaching practicum, mentor and supervise master and doctoral students, maintain a strong research and publication record as well as assume administrative responsibilities.
