The World’s First Business School

This position is responsible for full budget responsibility and financial oversight for six administrative departments (Wharton Public Policy Initiative , Wharton Budget Model, Wharton Doctoral Program Office, Wharton Social Impact Initiative, Wharton Surrogate and Wharton Finance & Administration) that are managed by the Wharton Finance and Administration RCM team. This includes but is not limited to; monthly reconciliation, projections, financial analysis, reporting and makes recommendations for the general and multiple restricted funds/grants associated within these departments. Position is responsible for all financial matters within each department which requires knowledge of appropriate financial software such as BEN, UMIS, PennWorks, Space@Penn, Data Warehouse and Hyperion.
Serve as backup for the school’s Concur TEM, System Access and Tac

Card Administration.

This position provides support whenever there are Business Administrator vacancies at Wharton and will provide support to new initiatives as appropriate.

Bachelor’s degree and 2 to 3 years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Strong financial/accounting management, organizational, and attention to detail skills required. Microsoft Excel proficiency is required. Demonstrated ability to take initiative and assume responsibility for orgs is required; excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and written, required. Familiarity with BEN Financials, Business Objects/Infoview/WEBI, and Concur Travel & Expense Management System preferred; Knowledge of University financial policies and grants administration desired.
