Under direction of the Chief Research Administrator and in collaboration with the Department of Human Resources, this position will be responsible for advising and supporting managers on human resource actions and international appointments across multiple divisions in the Department of Medicine (currently Renal, Rheumatology and Central Medicine); developing procedures for onboarding new staff and delivering training as a subject matter expert; works closely with all areas of HR, the business offices and faculty. Oversee visa application and renewal processes for these divisions. The position will help develop position specific onboarding and training programs with supervisors that strengthen introductory and annual reviews for new employees.

A Bachelor’s degree and 3 years to 5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required, preferably in an academic setting. Strong experience in Human Resource management and international appointments is strongly preferred. Excellent organizational skills with an ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously and independently. Exceptional interpersonal, communication (oral and written) and collaborative skills; ability to influence and persuade up and down the organization, exercising confidentiality with professionalism poise,
tact, diplomacy. Demonstrated ability to collaborate and establish working relationships with senior leadership, faculty and staff. Close attention to detail. Proven critical thinking and problem solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
