We are looking to hire an intuitive and practical individual to join our award-winning Health and Safety team as an Administrator. You will provide full and comprehensive support to the Health and Safety Team in achieving its operational objectives.

Your duties will include providing administrative support to the Fire Safety Officer, Hazardous Materials Officer and Central Health and Safety Manager. Helping Maintain databases for Fire Fighting Equipment and Hazardous waste aswell as being responsible for the day to day organisation of the various working groups. Including arranging meetings, drafting agendas, taking minutes, booking rooms and catering and dealing with working group related enquiries.

You will responsible for organising training courses for University staff and maintaining records of such training, this includes facilitating online training and maintaining associated records. You will help produce reports for the department and provide administrative support to the Health and Safety Team.

You will represent the H&S team and are expected to create an excellent first impression. You must be a confident communicator in dealing with a wide range of internal and external customers. This role will deal with staff across the University - requiring them to take responsibility for acquiring a good working knowledge of University structures and key contacts, University policies and processes applicable to staff and students, as well as key external organisations.

The successful candidate will have familiarity with standard office IT packages and databases, as well as a great attention to detail. Previous experience in an operational role and knowledge of health and safety is desirable but not essential.
