The Kings Norton Library at Cranfield University is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join its friendly and professional team.
As full time Information Advisor (Open Access), your key responsibilities will be to assist in a range of tasks associated with the efficient day to day administration relating to the Current Research Information System, open access publications and the management of article processing charges. This will include liaison with researchers and academics to obtain copies of their papers; communicating with publishers to request copyright permissions and licence changes; and assisting with the promotion and advocacy efforts to raise awareness of the institutional repository to internal as well as external research communities. You will also work in a customer facing role on the Welcome Desk in the Library as and when needed.
Good interpersonal skills and IT literacy skills are critical. The Library has high standards of customer service and you will demonstrate an understanding of, and commitment to a customer-focused library service. Hours of work will include working one late night until 9.00 p.m., normally every other week (starting at 2.00 p.m.)
