Regularly inspects and reports on the condition of structural, mechanical and electrical systems in School buildings. Regularly assesses the condition of general-use classrooms by monitoring temperature control, cleanliness, and ambience of facilities to ensure proper housekeeping and upkeep. Assists individual building administrators in tracking the completion of maintenance work and repairs by Facilities Services’ mechanics. Moves School equipment and computers and personal items, books and equipment between and within buildings and office furniture within buildings where permissible within union bargaining agreements. Drives one-ton panel truck or similar. Use various equipment and forklift. Maintains School furniture, warehouse and equipment. Cleans and prepares furniture in warehouse for delivery. Installs and repairs fixtures in off-campus buildings. Receives, handles, records, delivers and ships packages. Hand delivers and retrieves items to/from campus buildings (keys, rush packages, etc.). Assists with the scheduling, use and maintenance of School vehicles. May act as chauffeur on occasion. Assists with building security and fire protection; reports safety and health hazards. Assists with SAS Commencement ceremony and special events – required weekend work. Performs all duties in a professional and timely manner. Perform additional duties as assigned.
A High School Diploma or GED and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Ability to use computer software programs and mobile apps.
