ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, ANALYTICS, Sloan School of Management, to extract data from Sloan’s new, idea-driven website with analytics tracking capability embedded throughout, and share it with colleagues in the Office of Communications and the school in order to help make informed decisions about how to optimize the content and design of the site to engage target audiences. Specific tasks include analyzing user behavior on the site to learn about its audience(s), designing experiments to test different content types, creating dashboards for school-wide and program-specific needs, consulting on marketing and editorial strategy, and informing marketing investment plans. Will also educate colleagues about best practices and trends in analytics and how to apply them to Sloan’s communications strategy.

REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree; at least five years’ relevant analytics experience; advanced knowledge of Google Analytics and Tag Manager; high level of comfort with qualitative and quantitative market analysis tools; familiarity with and understanding of social media analytics and measurement tools; ability to design clear, insightful, and actionable reports based on website analytics for school-wide and partner-specific needs; excellent organizational, written and verbal communication and customer-service skills; attention to detail; familiarity with Drupal or a similar content management system; and a commitment to fostering a collegial and collaborative team environment. Seek someone who finds the narrative in the numbers, embraces data, explores new trends and tools in digital marketing, and effectively shares expertise and insights with colleagues. Experience in a news or content marketing organization is preferred.
