Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Philosophy, UCD School of Philosophy, Temporary 4 year post

The successful candidate will work in Post-Kantian European Philosophy with specialization in Phenomenology. They will show a clear potential as a highly research active philosopher, will be enthusiastic and flexible in contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, and will be keen to participate fully in the intellectual and academic activities of a lively and committed pluralist School which prizes collegiality very highly. The ability to deliver research-led teaching in Phenomenology at undergraduate and postgraduate levels is essential. The School also has teaching needs in aesthetics. 

The successful candidate will have completed a PhD in a relevant subject area by the date of the appointment and will have proven teaching skills. The person appointed will be expected to contribute significantly to research and teaching in Post-Kantian European Philosophy, with a focus on Phenomenology, but also work closely with colleagues in the school from other areas of Philosophy.

95 Lecturer/Assistant Professor (above the bar) Salary Scale: €52,325 - €82,267 per annum 

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
