UCD Sutherland School of Law as is the leading law school in Ireland is recognised in the quality of its degrees, research, knowledge exchange, student and staff exchanges and international activities as amongst the leading law schools in Europe. The School’s distinctive mission is to support a stronger understanding of, and capacity to harness, the transformative potential of law for contemporary societies.

The School wishes to appoint two Lecturers who will be required to engage in research, teaching and academic administration within the UCD Sutherland School of Law.  This will include the delivery and development of modules at undergraduate and graduate levels, the supervision of graduate students and the generation of publications in leading international peer reviewed journals and with leading academic presses in line with the academic mission of the School. The appointees will report to the Head of School.

The School would welcome applications from candidates win any field of expertise but would particularly welcome applications from candidates with teaching and/or research interests in the following fields:

  • Commercial Law
  • Copyright Law
  • Environmental and Planning Law
  • Energy Law
  • French Law (in French)
  • Health Law
  • IT Law
  • Labour Law
  • Legal Practice
  • Property Law

95 Lecturer/Assistant Professor (above the bar) Salary Scale:  €52,325 - €82,267 per annum 

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
