Core Operations Application Analyst

Job Description

The Application Core Operations Analyst responsible for the 24 x 7 health of all monitored and managed applications. They are responsible for identifying incidents, events, and analyzing problem trends, overseeing the management and resolution of issues. The Analyst is responsible for reviewing monitoring status, correlating events, understanding alarm diagnosis and incident trends. They troubleshoot application issues, resolve them where possible, and escalate them to application support teams when necessary. The Core Operations Analyst requires technical acumen, excellent communication skills, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to facilitate and manage technical bridge lines that cross multiple domains. They need to quickly determine root cause, business impact and resolve issues as quickly as possible to mitigate any business impact. When not working on incidents, the analyst will be tasked with day to day application maintenance as assigned by service owners.

Working hours include the following shifts:

Monday-Friday, 8AM to 5PM with occasional on-call responsibilities and after hour support

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5-10 years of experience in information systems operations environment in systems analysis or development
  • Understanding of DevOPs

Experience Preferred

  • Experience in Service Now
  • Supporting enterprise level applications in an operations or service desk capacity in one or more of the following areas 
    • EHR Software
    • Revenue Cycle Software
    • Business or Workforce Software
    • Clinical Software
    • Security Software
    • Enterprise Monitoring Tools
  • Engaging multiple stakeholders, including application owners and developers, to support daily operations of software
  • Engaging multiple stakeholders, including application owners and developers, to identify and manage problems and incidents
  • Demonstrated capability in adapting to ongoing organizational and technical change.

Bachelor's degree in a related clinical or technical field, or four years of equivalent technical experience required. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: LEVEL 1: If applicable, maintenance of North Carolina licensure or certification in related clinical discipline is required for all levels. LEVEL 2: In addition to the requirements described for the Level 1, the Level 2 requires: Certification in an area of application support of a technical or support nature preferred. LEVEL 3: In addition to the requirements described for the Level 2, the Level 3 requires: Certification in an area of application support of a technical or support nature strongly preferred.


Level 1 - No experience required beyond the minimum education (or equivalency) requirement. Level 2 - Two years of related experience is required. Level 3 - Four years of related experience is required.
