The vision for the Humanitarian and Conflict Response Institute (HCRI) at The University of Manchester has been inspired by the need to conduct rigorous, in-depth research and analysis on the impact and outcomes of contemporary and historical crises.
The role will lead the marketing and communications strategy and operational implementation for existing and new programmes. HCRI offers a range of online and face-to-face masters and undergraduate programmes in Humanitarianism and Conflict Response, International Disaster Management, and Global Health which are interdisciplinary and available to graduates from all disciplines and humanitarian professionals. One example is the MSc in Humanitarian Practice which will commence in January 2019. Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), in collaboration with the Humanitarian Conflict Response Institute at the University of Manchester and the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM), have designed a new programme for higher education of MSF personnel called the Leadership Education Academic Partnership (LEAP). All the course units within the LEAP programme will be Masters level courses which can be taken as a part-time MSc the Humanitarian Practice programme, or as shorter standalone Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses.
Reporting to the Institute Manager, this new role will consolidate, enhance, and add to existing marketing and communications activities. You will also work closely with the Faculty Communications and Marketing team and School Marketing Hub to ensure a consistent delivery of high quality service student recruitment marketing services, to enhance the recruitment of high quality students.
