Durham University is seeking a motivated and technically skilled individual to join Computing and Information Services as an IT Field Team Analyst, supporting the Lower Mountjoy Science Departments. As Durham University delivers against its ambitious strategy for 2017-2027 this is an exciting opportunity to meet the needs of the modern institution. The successful applicant will join a highly competent second line field team, supporting a Windows domain, significant Network Infrastructure and a large Linux and Windows Server estate across the area.

As part of the team the role holder will share responsibility for the management and support of Windows and Linux computing within the Science departments, including server support. This will also involve Mac, Printing, Audio Visual, specialist software and hardware support.

The role holder will perform activities to maintain the day to day operations of the University’s Computing and Information Service by receiving and accurately logging tasks, diagnosing and fixing IT related issues and supporting customers through technical and specialist skills.
