The Abramson Cancer Center is ranked as one of the top Cancer Treatment Centers in PA, NJ and DE by the NCI. We support eleven Research Programs that bring together investigators from 41 departments and 8 University schools with a shared interest in specific types of Cancer or scientific themes. Many programs span multiple research disciplines (e.g. fundamental and translational). The Business Office Administrative Coordinator works under the direct supervision of the CFO and the Manager of HR for the ACC. As we continue to expand in these initiatives, we are actively looking to recruit the talent of a Business Office Administrative Coordinator to provide administrative, clerical, organizational, office support and HR support to the Chief Finance Officer and to the Manager of HR of the Abramson Cancer Center. The BO Administrative Coordinator is required to judge independently and to have considerable initiative. The Business Office Administrative Coordinator will act as the CFO’s primary assistant supporting and performing a variety of tasks that include acting as a liaison between departments, outsider vendors, and staff members, managing the CFO’s calendar, composing and preparing correspondence, coordinating meetings, preparing presentations, processing reimbursement and events planning. In addition, the Business Office Admin Coordinator will also perform a variety of duties that include assisting with HR activities such as the I9 verification process, weekly payroll, maintaining, the PTO system, assisting with obtaining UPHS access for Non-UPHS employees in collaboration with the Health System and our clinical research programs. They will assist the Manager of HR with processes within the ATS, the HR Application Portal, HR Manager, including the on boarding process. The Business Office Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for providing overall support within the Abramson Cancer Center and its collaborative partner UPHS and the Cancer Services.
High School degree and 5 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required. College degree or coursework preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc. Experience planning, coordinating and executing complex travel plans and arrangements. Strong interpersonal skills, professional image and work ethic. Professional demeanor to maintain good public relations with collaborative partners, internal and external customers including Senior/Faculty members of the department and collaborating departments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good organizational skills to manage multiple projects and ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and mange one’s own time appropriately given ever changing priorities.
Detailed oriented, Pro-active and anticipatory in daily work. Team player and able to assume increased responsibility. Ability to interact with all levels is required, demonstrates willingness to learn, grow, and develop in the role.
