OFFICE ASSISTANT II, Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), to serve as one of the primary faces of J-PAL to the external world. Will be responsible for reception and the logistics of J-PAL’s office ensuring that the space shared by J-PAL’s North America and Central Office (J-PALGlobal) functions effectively and efficiently. Will provide assistance in the following areas: managing and maintaining a productive office environment; communicating and representing J-PAL internally and externally with guests, vendors, and J-PAL staff; supporting J-PAL’s recruitment and on-boarding process; and assisting with internal events.

REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; at least one year of administrative, office, or related experience; attention to detail; organizational skills; strong oral and written communication skills; ability to use clear, concise and appropriate language to effectively communicate messages to particular audiences; ability to handle interruptions throughout the day in order to assist guests and manage requests, handle several different projects/tasks at one time, successfully complete tasks assigned, and meet deadlines and regular goals; self-motivation; willingness learn, think creatively, propose innovative solutions, and support the team and organization in new initiatives; ability to self-manage workflow while maintaining high quality output and accuracy with details; and comfort learning computer applications, including Salesforce.
