Job Description

Provide administrative direction to assigned program to include managing and coordinating financial development and administration, special programs such as speakers and lecturers programs, publications and special conferences or other events to ensure fulfillment of the program objectives. 
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate and participate in meetings to develop objectives of the program and to identify internal and external resources available to meet program outcomes and goals. Develop and implement program protocol, procedures, and operating policies. 

Prepare brochures, bulletins and other publications to describe the program's goals, and events such as conferences and special programs; work with communication’s strategist to publish, develop and implement other communications vehicles such as newsletters to include compiling news and educational articles of local interest; 

Maintain liaison with outside educational and professional organizations and agencies to explore implementation of specialized programs at Duke and to encourage participation in specified programs. Coordinate the compilation of and prepare operational and financial reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions. 

Partner with HR and other necessary areas to manage diversity data and reporting needs both internally and externally. Analyze data as needed to support the efforts of the program.

Coordinate efforts and enhance relationships within Duke University and Duke Health that align with the programs goals. Develop and sustain community engagement efforts with the identified populations in Duke’s service areas to include but not limited to, patient advisory councils, presentations, and community advisory boards.

Project manage both operational roll out of the patient demographic initiative and technical upgrades that affect the health system and patients; provide comprehensive budgets and communication plans, as needed. 

Act as a subject matter expert for LGBTQ+ Health. Provide / coordinate training for the Health System on diversity issues to include but not limited to LGBTQ Health, Race and Ethnicity, and Social Determinants of Health.

Work requires communications, analytical and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program.


Work requires the ability to plan and administer programs and direct program activities within a specific functional area, generally acquired through four years of related experience. OR ANY OTHER EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
