Wage: $45.00/hr base rateEvening Shift Differential is $5.00 per hour for 3p-7p and $4.00 per hour for 7p-11pNight Shift Differential is $ 3.00 per hour Weekend Differential is $5.00 per hour
To perform physical, psychosocial and needs assessment of Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular surgery patients and Medical Cardiology patients.Determine functional status and initiate appropriate action.Report significant changes in patient condition.Provide nursing care to patients including the administration of medications and treatments ordered and assist with diagnostic procedures.Assess and monitor patient status, including response to medications and therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.Identify problems presented by patients and families and initiate appropriate intervention.Operate and monitor patient care equipment.Document patient care, including changes in patient status.Identify needs and educate patients and families about their disease process and the application of the therapeutic plan.Formulate individual care plans and evaluate nursing care.

- Must have a current Michigan Registered Nurse License.
- Must have at least Eighteen (18) months experience (within the past three (3) years) in the telemetry/stepdown areas as a Registered Nurse.
- Must be able to obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS) within six (6) months of hire.
- Must be able to pass the CSR EKG Test with 80% or better

- BSN Preferred
- Cardiology/telemetry/ICU/ICU stepdown experience
- Demonstrates expertise in communication and problem solving skills within all levels of the health care team, as evidenced by interviews, documentation, writing skills, and references.
- Experience floating to multiple units
- Preceptor experience
- CCRN or PCCN certification
- Ability to work in a team atmosphere utilizing effective delegation skills.
- Takes initiative in seeking professional growth.
- Computer skills: proficient in Microsoft Office
- Current ACLS Certification
**Commitment is 24 hours per 4 week scheduling block**ALL SHIFTS AVAILABLE; 4, 8 AND 12 HR BLOCKS AVAILABLE!Location: University Hospital: Central Staffing Resources, Adult Telemetry Cluster (FLOAT)
TEMPORARY FLOAT NURSE GUIDELINES1). All CSR employees are required to attend an annual educational Blitz to complete required UM mandatories and compentencies (BCLS every 2 yrs, Cardiac Arrest and maintain all other applicable certifications).2). Temporary Float Nurses are expected to work all shifts requested unless no work is available. It is the intention that all Temps will float to all units within the cluster speciality. 3). A Temporary Nurse should work 24 hours per 4 week schedule block. You may request four (4), eight (8), or twelve (12) hours shifts in advance. 4.) Temporary Nurses in the CSR Clusters are NOT required to work weekends or holidays.5). Temporary Nurses will participate in a newly designed, streamlined, onboarding/orientation program. However, the progression of orientation will be dependent upon clinical competency, staffing needs of the individual units, and the number of hours worked by the Temporary RN.
