Duties

Principal duties of the position are to perform immunology assays including flow cytometry and Luminex, ELISA, ELISPOT immunoassays and other assays as needed in the Human Immunology Core facility at the University of Pennsylvania. Additional duties include laboratory record-keeping, assistance with updating or validating standard operating procedures, data analysis, data reporting, quality control and instrument maintenance. Other duties include performing blood processing or other work as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Biology, Chemistry, Immunology or related subject and a minimum of 3 years of laboratory bench experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. In addition, strong written and oral communication abilities are required. Experience in developing SOPs, working under GLP conditions, performing flow cytometry and/or validating assays is preferred.
