Position Description:

The Department of English Language and Literature at the University of Chicago invites specialists in British Romantic literature (1780-1830) to apply for an entry-level tenure track assistant professorship. Applications from scholars who specialize in poetry, women's writing, and Romantic aesthetics will be especially welcome. Successful applicants will have their Ph.D. in hand by October 31st, 2018. 

Candidates must submit a cover letter, CV, an abstract of the dissertation or book project, and a 20-25 page writing sample at the University of Chicago's Academic Career Opportunities website, for posting number 03899: https://academiccareers.uchicago.edu.
