The Centre for Learning Innovation & Professional Practice (CLIPP) is seeking to appoint a Lecturer to provide delivery, guidance and support for all staff and PhD students involved in postgraduate learning and teaching programmes and professional practice at Aston University. You will play a lead role in extending and enhancing Aston’s teaching provision across all disciplines to on-campus, part-time, distance learning and work-based learners through the application and development of appropriate programmes of study.

Experience of motivating and supporting staff is essential, coupled with high level knowledge and experience to support learning and teaching in Higher Education. Familiarity with national developments in learning and teaching is also an important aspect of this post.

A good degree, a PhD and a postgraduate qualification in Learning and Teaching in HE are essential qualifications. A track record in active involvement in research and publication in learning and teaching is also required.

The minimum period for which initial appointments are made is normally five years. However, the normal expectation is that Lecturers will transfer to a continuing appointment during this period on demonstrating acceptable performance in their research, teaching and other duties.
