The School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and ambitious HCPC registered Paramedic to join our dynamic team of academics delivering excellent and visionary paramedic courses at undergraduate level.
This post represents an ideal development opportunity for a registered paramedic who wishes to embark upon an academic career but may have limited teaching experience. The successful applicant will be facilitated to complete the Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education and an appropriate level 6 degree (if not already achieved). The successful applicant will be expected to focus initially upon clinical skills teaching (both theoretical and practical), but will be supported to diversify into the full range of academic delivery as they gain experience. With the qualifications and development opportunities available, the successful post-holder will be in an excellent position to apply for future Lecturer and Senior Lecturer positions as they become available.
In addition to the Assistant Lecturer in Paramedic Science position, we are also seeking to recruit Hourly Paid Lecturers who are able to support our undergraduate paramedic teaching provision. If you are a registered paramedic and would like to apply to become an Hourly Paid Lecturer, please make sure that this is clearly indicated on your application.
