Applications are invited for appointment as Tenure-Track Associate Professor in Public Policy in the School of Public Health (SPH) of the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine and the Asia Global Institute (AGI). This is a joint appointment between the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine and Asia Global Institute, with the former as the home faculty. The post will initially be made on a three-year fixed-term basis with the possibility of renewal and with consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second three-year appointment.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in public policy, public health, economics, finance, development studies or a related field, with teaching experience in health and development. They should be experienced in influencing policy and business, and able to translate research into useful teaching output across faculties. They should demonstrate the ability to represent SPH and AGI with advanced research, policy, writing and presentation skills in the local, regional and international fora; and to publish in both academic and popular press. Interdisciplinary engagement and international collaboration are therefore vital for the success of this position. The appointee is expected to play a leading role in the research of the intersection of globalization, health, public policy, economics, and business. He/She will be engaged in teaching activities at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including the new interdisciplinary Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Global Health and Development. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
