Perform a variety of custodial tasks, including office and operating room cleaning. Reports to Environmental Services supervisor. Keep floors, equipment, operating rooms, recovery stalls and related areas clean. Maintain laboratories, offices, public areas, rest rooms and related areas. Keep areas properly stocked with supplies. Report malfunctioning cleaning equipment, as well as heating, lighting and ventilation so that repairs can be made. Contribute to a professional, safe and efficient hospital environment. Effectively manage time and plan daily activities to ensure thorough completion of tasks. Follow standard operating procedures for cleaning each area. Follow Biosecurity protocols and remain knowledgeable about changing requirements. Document work completed, as requested by Housekeeping Supervisor. Behave in a professional manner at all times.

HS diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Familiarity with all types of cleaning equipment; experience in hospital cleaning environment preferred; able to move about freely and perform strenuous work (lift up to 50 lbs.). Valid driver’s license required. Ability to tolerate post-surgical area clean up is required. Ability to work flexible schedule required. On-call duties and occasional weekends may be required.

Position located in Kennett Square. No public transportation available.
