German Language Tutor, Doc Studies
The German Language Tutor will assistant a Duke professor’s improvement of his German language skills, with a focus on oral communication. Tutor duties include carrying on conversation practice sessions, answering questions about fine points of German grammar, and accent coaching at the B1 level in the Common European Framework Reference for Languages. Tutor should speak high German as a mother language (C2 level in the Common European Framework Reference for Languages) and should be familiar with contemporary German language speech conventions. Tutor will meet with professor twice a week for 1.5 hours (3 hours total per week).
