A postdoctoral Research Associate position is available for an outstanding and ambitious materials physicist to undertake research in the field of 2D materials based membranes. The post is tenable from November 2018 for up to 18 months in the first instance, with the possibility to extend to up to 36 months. The successful candidate will join a vibrant team of researchers who have been at the forefront of graphene research since its discovery in 2004. Using our state-of-the-art laboratory, measurement and microfabrication facilities you will drive forward a new project to investigate separation properties of 2D materials based membranes.

The successful candidate will hold, or be about to obtain, a PhD (or equivalent) in materials physics or a closely related field. Experience in graphene and related materials synthesis and characterisation, membrane science and technology would be advantageous. You should be well-organised and self-motivated, with excellent communication skills. A strong publication record in internationally peer-reviewed journals is also essential.
