Pro Vice-Chancellor Global Engagement
Strawberry Hill, London
Competitive salary + benefits

Since 1850, St Mary’s mission has been to develop the whole person, empowering our community to have a positive impact on the world. The University is an inclusive academic and professional community, where everybody is welcomed.

Vision 2025 is our ambitious strategic plan which includes a strengthened commitment to enterprise, increased public engagement, stronger internationalisation, better organisational effectiveness, and improved student outcomes and research. A fundamental strand of our plan is to preserve, protect and enhance the global reputation, public profile and brand of the University. As a member of the senior leadership team, our Pro Vice-Chancellor Global Engagement provides leadership and strategic direction for all communications, international, marketing and recruitment plans.

The intensely competitive environment for universities in the UK makes this a critical and exhilarating period in our drive to make St Mary's a leading university. This Pro Vice-Chancellor is an essential role driving our efforts to raise our profile, increase and diversify student recruitment and expand our national and international reach including through the development of new partnerships with overseas universities. In leading the development and implementation of our international strategy and identifying new international market opportunities, the role requires a senior leader with deep experience in a full-service international office within higher education, as well as experience of advocacy and engagement on a global stage.

Candidates will bring a comprehensive knowledge of higher education and the current issues and likely future scenarios within an international context. Importantly, we are seeking candidates who have delivered shifts in departmental performance specifically through the development of a culture of target ownership and delivery.

For more information please visit www.andersonquigley.com/stmarys or speak to Ed Pritchard or Elliott Rae of Anderson Quigley on 020 3457 0948.

Closing date for applications is midday Friday 19 October 2018.

St Mary’s is an equal opportunities employer and positively welcomes applications from candidates who are currently underrepresented at this level.
