Are you looking for an opportunity to showcase your amazing event management skills?

Our Marketing team is responsible for the development and management of the University brand, as well as driving student demand. Marketing provides professional services and strategic leadership across a range of integrated marketing functions, including campaign management, student recruitment, publications, web services, event management, customer relationship management and brand management. The team works closely with members of University Executive, The Faculty of Vocational Education & Training, Higher Education Colleges and divisions, to ensure product offerings and marketing activities are evidence based, highly targeted and effectively evaluated.

As an Events Officer, you are responsible for the design, planning, logistics and execution of University events, assisting with the implementation of the University’s student recruitment strategies and providing advice and support to the broader University community. As a key member of the Marketing Team you play a lead role in stakeholder liaison, utilising strong project management skills to deliver events on time and within budget while maintaining a strategic focus on the return on investment. You also contribute to ensuring event plans are compliant in relation to risk, emergency, traffic management and safety.

Ideally, you will have a tertiary qualification or Diploma in a relative field with demonstrated experience in event management, marketing, business or related area.

Essential to this role is your capacity to work under pressure with competing demands and deadlines, along with your demonstrable organisational and coordination skills. An understanding and knowledge of tertiary institutions will be well-regarded.
