Applications are invited for post of Reader level in the Department of Psychology, Royal Holloway, University of London. These posts will consolidate and enhance the department’s reputation as an internationally leading centre for excellence in research and teaching in human neuroscience. Successful applicants will have international reputations for research in this area. Their track records will include publications in high-impact journals and success in grant capture.
Expertise in functional brain imaging techniques such as fMRI, or in other techniques such as DTI or MRS, ERP/EEG and/or TMS would be an advantage. The Department welcomes applicants who are using these methods for research in any sub-area of human neuroscience, especially in cognitive or behavioral neuroscience, social neuroscience, or developmental neuroscience. The appointee could also be considered for the role of Director of our CUBIC MRI facility and will be expected to contribute to the strategic direction of neuroscience research in the Department. The successful applicant will have a PhD, possess the broad range of skills required to teach effectively across our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and should demonstrate strong commitment to delivering an outstanding experience for our students.

This is a full time and permanent post based in Egham, Surrey where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London. The start date for this post is flexible however we would expect that the appointee would take up the position during the 2018-19 academic year.
