The Research Nurse position will work closely with the Principal Investigator, clinical and research staff to coordinate research studies in inflammatory arthritis and manage subject clinical care as it relates to research protocols.
We are seeking a candidate interested in learning about research methods and inflammatory arthritis. With minimal supervision, the candidate will coordinate the conduct of studies of inflammatory arthritis including screening, consenting, and enrolling eligible research patients; perform clinical assessments and joint exams on research patients; follow up with patients in clinic or via phone; coordinate patient care with the clinical team; regularly communicate with patients, the PI, and other clinical and research staff; assist in data entry and/or development of databases, and review and assess data collected; assist with regulatory tasks; and coordinate and conduct patient interviews and focus groups.
The candidate is expected to assist in the development of clinical pathways and examining their effectiveness in the management of inflammatory arthritis as well as participate in the development of shared decision making tools. In addition, assist in writing manuscripts and grants; provide input into the development of efficient work flows; and attend any study related meetings.
Registered Nurse; licensure in Commonwealth of PA without restriction or limitation and 1 to 2 years of experience; BSN highly preferred. Strong collaborative, interpersonal and communication skills required. Prior clinical research experience preferred.
