Your key focus will be to provide high-level management and coordination of key public and community engagement programmes, policies and processes and to provide expert strategic advice and support to the Director of Social Responsibility, Vice-President for Social Responsibility, University Academic Lead for Public Engagement and other senior staff across the full breadth of the University’s social responsibility activities.

Social Responsibility is one of the University’s three core goals in the Manchester 2020 Strategic Plan. You will have an opportunity to work across the University’s full range of academic, professional support services and cultural institution activities that engage communities and the wider public. Based in the Office for Social Responsibility, the position will report to the Director of Social Responsibility.

You will have experience in building effective relationships and alliances with a broad range of stakeholders, external bodies, professional networks and organisations relating to the social responsibility and public engagement agenda, have an excellent understanding of the social responsibility, public engagement and community engagement goals of the University and have significant experience in leading, coordinating and managing complex and high-profile programmes and events, involving a wide range of targets, outputs and stakeholders.
