Applications are invited for the Post of Project Fellow for the Consultancy Project (Project Work Order No.:IGCAR / M&MFCG / FChD/ SCSS/ 01/2018 /W.O.No.VITV-01 dated 11.4.2018) in the Department of Chemistry, School of Advanced Sciences (SAS), Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT)

Title of the Project: Synthesis of Structurally Ordered Silica / Polymer Monoliths as HPLC Columns and Optical Sensors for the Separation and Sensing of Lanthanides and Actinides

Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry/ Analytical Chemistry / Polymer Chemistry / Material Chemistry

Desirable (if any):

  1. Candidates with hands-on experience in chromatographic techniques.
  2. Candidates with strong background in materials or polymer characterization.
  3. Experience in writing scientific publications.

Stipend: Rs. 16,000/- per month (consolidated) for 1st & 2nd year and
Rs.18, 000/- per month (consolidated) for 3rd year.

Sponsoring Agency: Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), Kalpakkam.

Duration: 3 years
