Writer and Editor
WRITER/EDITOR, Sloan School of Management, to be responsible for creative content writing and edition in print and web, editing and sourcing, project management, and direct mail solicitations. Will work on multiple projects across several disciplines at the same time. Responsibilities include writing for Sloan’s alumni magazine, annual reports, newsletters, brochures, emails, social media, blogs, and other publications for Sloan’s Office of Alumni Relations; independently researching content, selecting sources for interviews, and proofreading all content to ensure tone and voice are consistent; managing projects and ensuring deliverables and deadlines are met within budget; and writing, testing, optimizing, and analyzing direct mail.

REQUIRED: at least three years’ experience writing and editing in a professional setting; a bachelor’s degree in communications, English, journalism, or related field; ability to work on deadline in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects; versatility as a writer; excellent written and oral communication skills; and project management experience. Must be able to communicate effectively using various styles and media; build positive relationships with a wide variety of individuals and stakeholders; work independently; and use sound judgment in decision making, including setting and managing priorities and meeting competing deadlines.
