The Schools and Colleges Engagement team offer a variety of activities for school and college students to help them gain an understanding of university life. The hourly rate will be £8.01 per hour, excluding holiday pay. Payment will be made monthly in arrears by direct credit transfer into your bank account on the last working day of the month.

A DBS check is part of the employment process if you are working within the schools strand. If successful you will be required to complete a DBS check. Your appointment will be conditional on the receipt of a DBS disclosure.

We also expect all Student Ambassadors to make every effort to be available for all of the Open Days. All the Open Days take place on Saturdays. Only in exceptional circumstances will we consider recruiting student ambassadors who are not available for the core recruitment events.

The University is open almost 365 days a year with recruitment activities happening all throughout the year, therefore the recruitment team will need to know in good time if you are going to be away from the University for extended period of time including holidays.
