We are currently seeking a Payroll Clerk to join our busy Payroll Team. Running multiple payrolls this team process in excess of £91 million of payroll and pension payments for over 2000 staff on a variety of permanent, fixed term and casual contract.

Role Description

Cranfield is a world-renowned, exclusively postgraduate University specialising in Creating Leaders in Technology and Management and we are currently seeking a Payroll Clerk to join our busy Payroll Team. Running multiple payrolls this team process in excess of £91 million of payroll and pension payments for over 2000 staff on a variety of permanent, fixed term and casual contract.

This role will focus on ensuring that the weekly payroll is completed efficiently, accurately and on time and will involve collating and validating the relevant invoices\payment forms, processing any changes or deductions and issuing pay and pay-related information to employees. The successful applicant will have previous experience of working in a busy team in a large complex organisation or High Education institution and will be customer focused in their approach to work. Confident in the use of Financial Systems and Microsoft office they have GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) and will be able to demonstrate the ability to organise and manage their work to meet set deadlines.

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate both orally and in writing with key stakeholders across the University, our visiting lecturers and other third parties is essential and ideally you will have or will be willing to work towards the Chartered Institute of Payroll qualification (or equivalent).
