Salary: £20,989 - £23,557 per annum
Hours: Full Time – 37hrs per week
Leeds Arts University is the only specialist arts university in the North of England. We have contributed significantly to the development of arts education for over 170 years, and have developed a national and international reputation based on the achievements of our students and staff.
A vacancy has arisen for a Student Liaison Assistant to work in our constantly developing Students’ Union Office. The Students’ Union works hard to represent every student’s views effectively and support students during their time at the University. It offers a great introduction to a great University and city, and helps make everyone’s time here as enjoyable as possible, allowing students to settle in quickly within our friendly and welcoming community.
The main focus of the role throughout the year is to provide an effective Students’ Union at Leeds Arts University and assist in the continued development of student representation and enrichment activities within the University.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level, have experience of organising events and leading group activities, have evidence of using modern design programmes [such as Adobe creative suite], and have proven ability to relate to a wide ranging group of students, staff and clients. Experience of working closely with or as a member of a Students’ Union Executive Committee and knowledge of the functions of the National Union of Students [NUS] would be desirable.
