A new opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to work within the Manchester Academic Health Sciences Centre Clinical Trials Unit (MAHSC-CTU), providing data management support for clinical trials. The MAHSC –CTU is an essential core resource for clinical and academic investigators and provides a wide range of services supporting the conduct of investigator-initiated clinical trials across Greater Manchester, the North West and the UK.

The successful candidate will have primary responsibility to provide data management support for the setup, conduct and closure of specific academic led, single- and multi-centre randomised controlled trials. You will be working with experienced Clinical Trials Managers to assist in the review of study protocols, to manage data flow, and validate study data. A key element of this role is ensuring that the clinical trials meet the requirements of all legal and regulatory obligations.

The ideal candidates will be degree educated, with experience of working with clinical trial data management systems and database testing procedures. Knowledge of data management activities throughout all stages of the clinical trial lifecycle is essential. You must be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and to tight or unexpected deadlines.
