  • Salary range (Level 7): $85,729 to $95,237 plus 17% superannuation
  • Salary range (Level 8): $95,737 to $104,746 plus 17% superannuation

About the team:

UWA’s Employee Relations team sits within the newly formed branch of UWA’s Human Resources function called Employee Relations, Reward and Policy. This high performing team of four acts as a key driver of a high performance culture here at UWA. The team is accountable for the ER and industrial relations strategy across the many facets of the University. The team strives to maintain a strong technical focus while also translating this into support for UWA’s broader objectives aligned to respect, integrity and innovation.

Key areas of work include enterprise bargaining, representing the University in the Fair Work Commission and other industrial tribunals, interpretation and implementation of enterprise agreements, awards and industrial legislation, supporting organisational change/restructure and providing specialist ER/IR advice.

About the opportunity:

You will act as a trusted front line adviser, working with stakeholders at all levels across the University. You will provide timely, fit for purpose and technically sound advice while managing a high volume caseload.

Your focus will be on building ER/IR capabilities both within the business and across other HR teams while engaging with a broad range of stakeholders in a highly complex working environment. This presents an opportunity to work on technically challenging work supported by a capable, high performing team with influence at the most senior levels of the University.

About You:

You will be an experienced ER operator with either an in-house or legal/consultancy background. You will demonstrate superior interpersonal skills, have well developed research, investigative and report writing skills with an ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and with confidence to coach both senior leaders and other HR professionals.
