Sheffield Hallam University is looking for a Global Marketing Officer to join the innovative and dynamic Global Engagement Directorate in a fixed-term post. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the University's international marketing and communications in support of recruitment, global programmes and collaborative partnerships and widen access to the University to students from across the world.

The Global Engagement Directorate leads on the University’s international business development, notably student recruitment and international partnerships. The Directorate works closely with the faculties and other directorates to implement the University's global engagement strategy. The Directorate also has responsibility for managing the University’s five overseas offices, international marketing, the Erasmus+ programme and the international scholarship portfolio.

You will work as a member of the Conversion and Communications Team and be responsible for the delivery and evaluation of the University international marketing communications plan, project managing all the tasks and projects to implement that plan to support recruitment of international students from within the UK and overseas.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, and with excellent written and verbal communication skills, you will have significant experience of managing, and delivering against, marketing communications plans. You will have sound knowledge of digital technologies and media and be comfortable utilising CRM tools to increase customer engagement. You will have the ability to work effectively both independently and with a range of people including, applicants, senior managers and external bodies.

You will be able to demonstrate an interest in international cultures and activities and have a flexible approach to working patterns to accommodate the occasional need for working during anti-social hours.

Experience working within Higher Education and within an international context is desirable.
