The University of Central Lancashire wishes to recruit an Administrative Assistant to work as part of the busy Payroll team to fulfil a varied role.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in a busy customer orientated financial services environment, with the ability to work in line with financial regulations and department practices and procedures.

Use of computer based system and Microsoft Office applications is essential as is a working knowledge of finance practices and procedures. Knowledge of Agresso and processing payroll via i-Trent software is also desirable.

The successful candidate will be working as part of the Payroll Services team, which provides a wide range of services to the University's staff and wider workforce whilst fulfilling a number of regulatory payroll requirements. Commitment to providing a customer focussed approach is essential.

Utilising excellent organisational and administration skills, the successful candidate will have the ability to prioritise work, work under pressure and achieve deadlines. The successful candidate will be able to participate effectively as a member of a team and be flexible and adaptable in their approach to tasks and the required workload.

The successful candidate will also have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written when responding to our customers.
The successful candidate will also have a range of GCSEs, including English Language and Maths at Grade C or above.

Core opening hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with some flexible working where possible.
