About the School of Computing and Information Systems (CIS)

We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Research Fellow to work with a talented team of researchers in both agent systems and human-computer interaction.
Why we need you
You will play a leading role in developing and shaping the theoretical direction of the work and its impact on theories of AI. You will manage the research project's priorities and deliverables by carrying out agent software development to deadlines, and by conducting evaluation studies with live trials involving people interacting with the software. You will conduct analysis of human performance data and contribute to publications in top tier conferences and journals.
To be successful, you will be versatile and passionate about research, and will be ready to play an active part in the life of the School of Computing and Information Systems, which at times may involve opportunities for supervision and teaching.
What you’ll need:
- PhD degree in Computer Science or closely related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in software development
- Experience with software agent architectures
- A track record of high quality and relevant publications in journals and conferences
- Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver cutting-edge research as a team-player
- The capacity to undertake experiments with human participants
- Experience with research records, and communicating research concepts to academic and other audiences
