The School of Economics, Finance and Management is about to through a transition period whereby the School will split into 3: The School of Economics; The School of Accounting & Finance; The School of Management. We hope for this transition to be complete by August 2020, however in the interim, there is a lot of work to be done to help the School transition. In addition to this, each new school is likely to grow significantly over the next five to ten years. Currently the School has around 170 academic staff, situated in these three disciplinary Departments, and a professional service team totalling over 50 staff.
We are seeking to appoint a Deputy School Manager to help shape and deliver the School’s evolving administrative capacity, in addition to supporting the School’s transition. The ideal candidate will have significant experience of managing administration in a large, complex organisation. The key skills that we are looking for include; people management, high-level organisation, financial/budgeting experience, the ability to work analytically to solve problems, and experience in dealing with complex organisational change. Strong candidates for this role will be able to work effectively with a wide range of colleagues and take a positive approach to resolving conflict.
