You will join an ambitious school which is part of a diverse and vibrant faculty in a pioneering modern civic university. We are committed to excellence in all of our endeavours and we expect the successful candidate to share this commitment.

You will provide academic leadership for the Law Subject Area made up of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Law and Criminal Justice, as well as professional programmes including a successful Full Time and Part Time LPC. You will directly line manage a dedicated team of programme leaders and provide leadership and oversight of workload allocation and the curriculum across Law.

You will share our commitment to our students (including our demonstrable strengths in extra-curricular activities and skills-based competitions in Mooting and Mediation), our values around professionalism and our proud history of civic engagement, for example the School’s Legal Advice Centre and pro bono clinic. You will have demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, research and scholarship and have a proven track record in leading, motivating and inspiring academic teams.
