The School of Sport & Wellbeing is seeking a highly motivated outdoor instructor to join the Outdoor Delivery team. The role involves delivery of high quality educational outdoor programmes to a range of internal and external groups, including: i) the Outdoor Adventure Leadership degree programme, ii) Frontier Education 'student retention' programme iii) Leadership Development programmes and iv) programmes for external groups (i.e. school groups / community groups) as appropriate.
The successful candidate will have experience of working within an educationally orientated outdoor establishment and of teaching/instructing individuals/groups of a variety of different ages and levels of ability. The ability to adapt programmes according to the requirements of the group and the changing outdoor environment is essential, as is experience of residential education.
Educated to Undergraduate degree level or equivalent and first aid qualified, the post holder will have good interpersonal and communication skills and have the ability to work as part of a team and individually.
The role will be based in Preston but will also require delivery in other locations/venues (including North Wales and the Lake District).
