Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to develop research experience and skills working on the national evaluation of a large-scale prevention programme on child abuse and harm.

The Connect Centre for International Research on Interpersonal Violence and Harm, School of Social Work, Care and Community at UCLan, is appointing a Research Associate to work on the national evaluation of the NSPCC's Speak Out, Stay Safe programme.

The Research Associate will join a team of experienced researchers from five universities led by Professor Nicky Stanley. The study is evaluating this preventive intervention delivered in primary schools across the UK that aims to improve children's understanding of abuse and other forms of harm.

Applicants should have relevant experience of undertaking research with children in school settings. They should be able to work with qualitative and quantitative research methods and to travel to research sites across England and Wales. Educated to postgraduate level in a relevant subject, the successful applicant will have excellent communication, presentation and report writing skills.
