This is a Part-time, 0.4FTE contract in archaeology within the School of Forensic and Applied Sciences for five months. The role will involve contributing to the academic development, course management, teaching, research development and scholarship within the School in the area of archaeology. The post-holder will deliver specialist modules across the undergraduate programmes specifically in post-medieval archaeology.
he successful applicant will have a degree and PhD in archaeology or a related subject and previous teaching experience within HE environment. They will have an ability to communicate academic ideas effectively, a knowledge of interpretive and theoretical traditions in archaeology and a general understanding of archaeology of Britain and NW Europe.
The successful applicant will have the ability to teach and supervise dissertation up to Masters level, undertake research/knowledge transfer and have a flexible and innovative approach to teaching and learning.
Experience of public communication of archaeology, primary data collection, a detailed knowledge of specific archaeology specialism to complement existing staff expertise and evidence of 4* publication as defined by REF 2021 would also be an advantage.
