ASSISTANT TO THE PROVOST
Salary range £24,000 - £30,000 per annum
plus excellent benefits
A highly organised Administrative Assistant with excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in developing a career in higher education is required to provide a broad range of administrative services to the Vice-Chancellor and Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic of the University. Reporting directly to the Provost, main duties include diary management, arranging meetings, sending out agendas and papers and taking notes at meetings. Candidates will be required to quickly gain an understanding and interest in how the University operates and to assist in the smooth running of the Provost’s office.
This varied role requires commitment and the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels in the University and with external contacts. A High level of accuracy and attention to detail are required, together with a flexible, problem-solving approach to work. Experience of updating and maintaining Share Point and/or web pages is desirable.
An undergraduate degree or equivalent working experience is required.
