MEDIA COORDINATOR, MIT MUSEUM/NORD ANGLIA COLLABORATION, MIT Museum, to lead the creation of a dynamic, content-heavy website, updating daily with content developed by colleagues and MIT researchers.  Will shoot video of people and events using lighting, sound, and special effects; recruit and lead bigger video crews for productions that require multiple crew members; edit video using Final Cut Pro X, Adobe Premiere Pro CC, or comparable software and assist colleagues with video editing; collaborate on the creation of a highly visible, active social media presence; support two academic trips to campus annually and the creation and delivery of three annual academic challenges; develop and maintain relationships with MIT faculty, staff, and students; keep informed on research, discoveries, and other STEAM news for the benefit of Nord Anglia students and teachers; and perform other duties as needed.  Will report to the director, MIT Museum/NAE Collaboration and work collaboratively with other colleagues at the MIT Museum.  

The MIT Museum is expanding its formal, multi-year agreement with Nord Anglia Education to provide science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM) programming to more than 50 Nord Anglia schools worldwide.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: a Bachelor's degree; five years of multimedia production experience; demonstrated record in the creation and maintenance of websites; and proficiency with Final Cut Pro X and/or Adobe Premiere Pro CC, MS Word, Excel, and a variety of social media platforms.  

Should be able to work evening and weekend hours as needed and to travel internationally on occasion.
